Context
Legends of Luma is Ludonaute’s “serial game” collection: each title has its own rules, in a shared world with shared heroes, Moon, Lys, Siana, Red, Nostromo and Ulrich. Oh Captain! and Nomads open the series.
What was at stake
No longer creating just a title, but a world able to cross several games: episodes playable on their own, with the same characters, a story that moves forward and a world map that builds up box after box. Anyone who already knows the heroes steps into the next title faster, and wants to discover it.
The work
Creation of the world and creative direction of the collection, with artists from games, animation, comics and video games; direction of the films. For Nomads, an adaptation of Jeju Island, a Korean game by Gary Kim, Jun-Hyup Kim and Yeon-Min Jung: about a year of testing and design.
